Went to Soulwaxmas @ The Warehouse Project, Can you spot me?
Even a year later seeing this video gets me excited and thinking about my actions!
Day One - 2’044 Words
Started my Camp NaNoWriMo Novel off today and think I got off to a good start.
I’ve reached my target for today.
I kept a blog going for a year!
After looking back at this blog I noticed that I’ve managed to keep this Tumblr up for a whole year! Now I’ve got the basics (videos and photos) sorted I want to give writing a go and get some longer posts on this site.
Thanks to all that have followed this blog,
Recently I caught hold of a project called Camp NaNoWrimo. The concept is simple to write a novel in one month - hitting 50’000 words by the end of the month. It takes place in August. A lot of people talk about how hard it is to complete. It’s an immense challenge!
Now some background on me, I did English at GCSE and did ok (Grade B & C). I found it boring as it didn’t teach me the skills I wanted to learn - I wanted to learn writing styles and how to engage the reader. Since then I’ve followed more mathematical/scientific subjects with little writing and had no interest in writing anymore than I needed to. That was until I got back into reading on my Kindle allowing me to take the books I want wherever I go. I now love reading, the book that got me back into it was “The Hunger Games” (Still haven’t seen the film). The inspirations of reading pushes me to write.
So that is it I have little to no ability to write (even doing this isn’t easy) but the only way I’m going to get better is to do more writing. I doubt that I will finish but at the end of the day I’m sure there will be plenty to learn, however far I get.
You support would be appreciated, if your interested in taking part - GO FOR IT (what have you got to loose?)
P.S - If you do give it a go message me and tell me how your getting on.
